About The Position

We’re looking for a Manager to join Bariendo’s Care Operations team to help drive our current day-to-day patient care operations while also setting the vision and executing towards our future model as we grow and scale. This role is ideal for someone who can move seamlessly between designing the strategy and driving the execution. The ideal candidate is analytical, systems-minded, and energized by solving complex operational challenges in a fast-moving healthcare startup. They lead with empathy and care, and get excited about working with a multi-disciplinary, diverse internal care team while building meaningful relationships with our patients. In this role, you’ll serve as a force multiplier, bringing structure, discipline, and scalable processes that elevate the entire Care Operations function. You’ll partner closely with our Clinical, Product, and Growth teams to build from the ground-up how we can deliver the best patient experience we possibly can for people who have made a decision to embark on their weightloss journey move through Bariendo’s ecosystem, from intake and scheduling to procedure coordination and follow-up care.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in operations, healthcare delivery, or customer experience/client services
  • A strong passion for healthcare
  • Exceptional empathy and influencing skills, with the ability to connect with patients and teammates from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset; high degree of comfort with excel is a must, and experience with visualization tools is a plus (e.g., Tableau, Retool)
  • Ability to drive effective change management, working cross-functionally and navigating rapid pace of change

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with telehealth, care logistics, or clinical operations in a fast-growing startup environment and/or management consulting experience

Responsibilities

  • Champion of operational excellence: Help build, scale, and continuously improve an efficient and effective care operations engine by designing workflows, developing SOPs, creating feedback loops, and promoting a culture of accountability and consistency across the patient journey.
  • Data-oriented decision making: Identify and analyze key performance metrics to maintain a strong pulse on operational health, surface opportunities or issues early, and translate insights into clear recommendations and strategic levers for the organization.
  • Patient engagement & feedback management: Develop strong patient relationships, manage our patient community group, and maintain an efficient feedback loop between patients and Bariendo; oversee the resolution of critical patient issues to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience.
  • Tech-forward operations building: Collaborate closely with the Product team to design, build, and integrate tools that enhance operational efficiency, including LLM-powered workflows and CDP-driven automation, and continuously refine these solutions to improve scalability and service delivery.
  • Empathetic, cross-functional leadership: Collaborate across Care Operations, Clinical, Product, and Growth teams to ensure operational alignment with Bariendo’s strategic goals and drive patient-centered outcomes.
