About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Manager of Business Development and Affiliate Network drives revenue and referral growth for NorthBay Health and its regional affiliates in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and economic drivers. Develops, strengthens, and retains high-value relationships with referring physicians, affiliated physician practices, regional employers, insurance brokers, FQHCs, academic partners, and community stakeholders to grow referrals, expand commercial enrollment, and increase market share. This role serves as a strategic growth leader and operational relationship manager, ensuring physician growth, preventing referral leakage, identifying areas for operations to improve access and referral workflows, and strengthening integration between affiliate practices and NorthBay Health hospitals, specialists, and service lines. The Manager partners with Marketing, Communications, Digital Strategy, Population Health, Managed Care, Clinical Leadership, and Practice Operations, ensuring outreach strategies are aligned with organizational priorities and long-term service line growth across Solano, Napa, and Yolo counties. Responsibilities

  • Physician Referral Development, Retention & Network Growth: Build and manage strategic relationships with referring physicians and affiliated practices to grow referrals across key service lines, while serving as the central liaison between affiliate partners and internal teams to reduce barriers and leakage.
  • Employer & Insurance Broker Relationship Management: Develop long-term relationships with regional employers, brokers, and health plan representatives to influence network selection, plan design, and managed care alignment in support of NorthBay Health's commercial growth objectives.
  • Physician Visibility & Market Positioning: Create platforms for NorthBay Health physicians to showcase clinical expertise to referring providers, employers, and community groups through coordinated events and marketing partnerships.
  • Strategic Outreach: Represent NorthBay Health across community and regional forums to strengthen referral pathways, build trust, and surface competitive intelligence that informs leadership and strategic planning.
  • Physician Onboarding Support: Ensure every newly affiliated physician is seamlessly integrated within their first 30 days through targeted introductions to referral sources, employers, and the community.
  • Program Development & Service Line Growth Support: Identify market opportunities to drive utilization of priority service lines through targeted relationship strategies and employer-based community engagement initiatives.
  • Administration, Reporting & Performance Tracking: Maintain CRM-based tracking of outreach activity, referral trends, and engagement metrics to produce dashboards and reports that guide executive decision-making and ensure cross-departmental coordination.
