What you'll do... Locations - Bentonville, Dallas, Atlanta, or Salt Lake City As a Business Development Account Executive (BDAE), you will drive new customer acquisition through proactive prospecting, thoughtful discovery, and effective closing. You will partner closely with our onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition for newly closed accounts and hand off long-term growth opportunities to the Account Management team. This role is fast-paced and requires high energy, strong IQ/EQ, and comfort engaging with a high volume of calls and emails each week while leveraging tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, and others to support outreach efforts.You will work in close collaboration with Territory Account Executives to align on sector-specific outreach strategies and customer needs. Additionally, you will provide valuable feedback to Marketing on the quality and performance of incoming Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and their effectiveness in generating Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant sales experience, including prospecting, qualifying, and cold calling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment and shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, business, finance, marketing and sales, healthcare, or related area and 2 years' experience in business development, market development, healthcare, or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience in business development, market development, healthcare, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Familiarity with B2B retail and procurement.
  • Knowledge of competitors and key players in the B2B retail space.
  • Proven success in outbound sales or prospecting roles, ideally in solution-sales or eCommerce.
  • Experience with Salesforce and an interest in pursuing a B2B sales career.
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Healthcare, or related area.
  • Sales, Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Aggressively pursue targeted accounts within designated territories. Collaborate with Territory Account Executives and other teams to secure new accounts. Identify and qualify sales opportunities through persistent prospecting and research. Build a robust pipeline using cold calls, emails, and social media, consistently meeting or exceeding quotas and activity targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Articulate Walmart Business value proposition and address customer pain points with tailored solutions. Develop initial customer profiles to support further discovery by AEs or nurturing by Marketing. Stay informed about assigned sectors, B2B retail trends, and competitive developments.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Manage the sales process from start to finish, including delivering presentations to potential clients. Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage, track, and report lead activities. Refine sales processes to improve the lead generation and qualification efficiency.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive territory growth by signing accounts ranging from small to large. Present offerings and value propositions to subsidiaries associated with larger accounts, supporting AEs. Achieve individual and team activity metrics and opportunity creation

  • The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
