Position Summary... The Manager, Business Analysis & Insights supports Store Space and Project Development initiatives by applying analytical expertise, data management, and layout interpretation to inform store design, space planning, and execution decisions. This role partners cross functionally to translate data and layouts into actionable insights that improve accuracy, efficiency, and business outcomes. What you'll do... Perform advanced analysis of large, complex datasets to support store space planning, remodels, and new store initiatives Develop insights and recommendations that support layout decisions, linear footage optimization, and operational efficiency Utilize analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) to build models, dashboards, and reporting solutions Review, interpret, and validate store layouts and space plans, including drawings developed in AutoCAD Partner with designers, architects, merchants, real estate, and operations teams to support project development and execution Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across analyses and deliverables Communicate findings clearly to cross‑functional partners and leadership through written and visual storytelling What You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or related field OR equivalent professional experience Experience in business analysis, data analytics, space planning, store design support, or related analytical roles Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and translating analysis into actionable insights Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data analysis or visualization tools Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional environments Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting store space planning, store design, remodels, or project‑based retail initiatives Working knowledge of AutoCAD, including the ability to review, interpret, and validate layout drawings Experience using Power BI, SQL, or similar analytical tools for reporting and insights Experience partnering with design, architecture, merchandising, or operations teams Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines Retail or store operations experience At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
