(USA) Manager, Business Analysis And Insights, Marketing Intelligence

Wal-MartBentonville, AR
53d$70,000 - $130,000

About The Position

Help shape how Sam's Club invests, grows, and retains its membership. You'll lead the marketing intelligence engine that turns complex data into everyday decisions-translating signals from media, membership, and digital journeys into clear actions that improve acquisition, activation, and renewal. You'll partner with Marketing, Membership, Media, and eCommerce leaders, and deliver executive ready insights that improve ROI, reduce reporting friction, and drive confident, data informed choices at scale.

Requirements

  • Proven impact in marketing analytics or growth intelligence. You've shipped dashboards, frameworks, or programs that business leaders actually use-and you can point to where they improved ROI, CAC/LTV, or renewal rates.
  • Hands‑on analytics depth. Comfortable querying data (e.g., SQL) and building decision tools (BI dashboards); fluent in experimentation, incrementality, attribution trade‑offs, and interpreting MMM/causal lift.
  • Storytelling that moves decisions. Executive‑ready communication, crisp visualizations, and the ability to turn noise into one page of signal with a recommendation and an owner.
  • Team leadership & mentorship. Experience hiring, coaching, and creating psychologically safe, high‑performance teams; you set clear goals and celebrate wins.
  • Cross‑functional influence. Strong partnership with Marketing, Media, Finance, Product/MarTech, and Data Engineering; you align stakeholders and land changes, not just insights.
  • Quality & governance mindset. You care about trustworthy data-measurement plans, event hygiene, QA, documentation, and privacy standards.
  • Bias to action. You iterate quickly, prioritize ruthlessly, and focus on the few actions that deliver the biggest business lift.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field and 2 years' experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area OR 4 years' experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.

  • Project Management Certification
  • Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Stand up a single source of truth for marketing performance
  • Build a unified KPI taxonomy (acquisition, CAC, ROAS, renewal, LTV, channel effectiveness) and launch an executive dashboard that reduces manual reporting time and standardizes weekly readouts across stakeholders.
  • Operationalize test‑and‑learn and incrementality
  • Formalize an experimentation program (geo/matched‑market tests, holdouts, lift studies) and create a decision cadence that turns results into funded changes to channel mix, targeting, and creative.
  • Improve media efficiency with always‑on optimization
  • Diagnose channel and audience performance, quantify trade‑offs, and recommend reallocations that improve member growth economics (e.g., lower CAC within target payback) while protecting brand and long‑term LTV.
  • Deliver forward‑looking forecasts for membership and demand
  • Partner with Finance and Media to produce scenario‑based outlooks for acquisition, renewals, and revenue, linking spend plans to outcomes and clarifying confidence ranges and risks.
  • Elevate data quality and compliance
  • Define quality checks, documentation, and issue SLAs for pipelines and tracking; partner with Data Engineering/MarTech to prevent breaks, align on event schemas, and ensure privacy/consent standards are upheld.
  • Translate insights into decisions
  • Turn analysis into clear narratives and "so‑what/now‑what" recommendations for VP/Director audiences; publish concise memos and visuals that speed decisions and align cross‑functional partners.

Benefits

  • Health benefits include medical, vision and dental coverage
  • Financial benefits include 401(k), stock purchase and company-paid life insurance
