About The Position

This position works under limited supervision to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of all assigned personnel, thereby ensuring that all operations of the division are carried out in an efficient, timely and professional manner.

Requirements

Three (3) years’ experience in video/computer technologies with three (3) years supervisory experience
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business or public administration, or related field; OR An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Must be available for on-call, night and weekends.
Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Directs, manages and supervises employees of SEEU (Specialized Electronic Evidence Unit).
Performs management responsibilities in accordance with policies and procedures; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring training, appraising performance, discipline and addressing complaints.
Plans and directs work activities of all assigned personnel and ensures that activities are assigned and completed in an effective manner.
Establishes or assists in establishing guidelines on procedures, methods, other work changes and implements procedures as required.
Confers with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods.
Monitors expenses and revenues to keep within budgetary perimeters; assists in the development of the department’s budget; assists in reconciling, reviewing and classifying expenditures to proper accounts.
Ensures current and new employees are trained and stay abreast on all procedures to ensure efficient operations
Develops protocols for emergency response of unity during and after business hours.
Reviews and monitors daily operations, logs and records to ensure established Sheriff’s Office procedures and protocols are followed by staff.
Performs other related duties as required or directed.
