Overview Job Summary Responsible to manage daily operations of all records and has the authority to establish and modify the Aircraft Records Standard Operating Procedures manual. Responsible for carrying out the mission, goals and objective of the Air Methods’ Certificate. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Ensures all procedures in the Aircraft Records Standard Operating Procedures manual are followed and all recommended changes are reviewed and revised as applicable Manage Department budget and all manuals (SOP) that directly affect the department Develop and ensure accuracy of monthly reports as required Ensures that all aircraft maintenance documentation is audited in compliance with applicable Code of Federal Regulations and company policies Investigate and resolve errors in the maintenance documentation Undertakes periodic audits of aircraft records for CFR compliance and aircraft manufacturer’s inspection requirements Responsible for the creation, storage, maintenance and retrieval of all recorded aircraft information - Classifies and indexes aircraft records - Creates and maintains computer databases for the control and retrieval of information Develops policies for distribution and storage of records including the incorporation of new information technologies into the organization Ensures that the information systems of the organization meet their needs and contribute to organization objectives in accordance with FAA regulations Ensures that all induction aircraft are set up and properly forecasting to Air Methods approved maintenance program prior to the aircraft being released into service Responds to internal and/or external information enquiries Actively participates in the continuous improvement phase of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes and procedures Other Duties as assigned. Additional Job Requirements Regular scheduled attendance Responsible for thorough knowledge of Air Methods Corporation policies and procedures as well as meeting operational goals and objectives - Responsible for a strong working knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling 5% Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises employees in the Aviation department. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems.
