About The Position

The Manager, AI Financial Planning and Analysis will ensure Allied’s AI investments translate into measurable business outcomes. This FP&A manager will design, set, and track KPIs, build executive-ready reporting, and lead robust cost–benefit analyses across the AI portfolio. A key part of this role is partnering with product owners, technical product owners, engineering, and data teams to embed telemetry and reporting hooks (events, usage, ROI counters) into AI solutions from initial design ensuring auditability, real-time availability of value and performance data, and incorporating production holdout processes (e.g., A/B testing) to continually monitor value realized on a recurring basis, not just at go-live.

Requirements

  • 5 years of deep FP&A expertise with proven ability to link operational KPIs to enterprise-level financial outcomes required.
  • At least 3 years at a supervisor level, successfully demonstrating leadership competencies required.
  • Comfortable with data-driven environments; understands telemetry, dashboards, and reporting automation.
  • Interest in learning AI lifecycle concepts (problem framing, data readiness, model evaluation, product ionization).
  • Skilled at stakeholder engagement across finance, product, engineering, and governance teams.
  • Hands-on modeling and dashboarding skills combined with ability to communicate insights clearly to executives.
  • Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex modeling, scenario analysis).
  • Power BI (dashboarding, visualization, KPI scorecards).
  • SQL:
  • Familiarity with data instrumentation and A/B testing concepts for value monitoring.

Nice To Haves

  • Python/R for analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define outcome-oriented KPIs for each AI capability (e.g., cycle-time improvement, accuracy/quality, risk & compliance metrics).
  • Produce concise, narrative-driven reporting for executive leadership; translate complex financial and technical data into actionable insights.
  • Create standardized templates for on-demand dashboards; maintain an evergreen executive view of commitments vs. realized benefits.
  • Lead business casing for AI initiatives: NPV/IRR, payback, sensitivity/scenario analysis, and risk-adjusted returns.
  • Track actuals vs. forecast; reconcile variances and update benefit curves and ramp assumptions.
  • Partner with product managers, technical product owners, engineering, and data teams to embed telemetry and reporting hooks (events, usage, ROI counters) into AI ensuring auditability, real-time availability of value and performance data, and requiring production holdout/A-B testing processes for ongoing value monitoring.
  • Specify data pipelines and metric windows required for accurate financial aggregation.
  • Operate within financial governance standards, support compliance reviews and audit readiness.
  • Own AI portfolio forecasting (opex/capex, cloud/model costs, vendor fees) and reconciliation (actuals, accruals, reclasses).
  • Lead, coach, motivate and develop.
  • Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed.
  • Actively engage, coach, counsel and provide timely, and constructive performance feedback.
