Our Manager, Accounts Payable will oversee the Accounts Payable Department activities to ensure timely and accurate payment processing and that vendor related liabilities are appropriately recognized in the Company’s financial statements. This is a remote position based in the US; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related studies required
  • 5+ years professional work experience with General Accounting, full GL responsibility and Accounts Payable with progressive responsibilities required
  • Advanced technology experience with all MS Outlook products including advanced Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as financial software systems

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in a hospital, pharmaceutical company, or clinical research organization preferred
  • Previous work experience leading and developing staff

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activities of assigned staff; ensure they are providing excellence in terms of customer service, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
  • Provide coaching and direction as required Leadership, training, and career coaching of direct reports
  • Assist with the development and implementation of effective accounting controls relating to Accounts Payable functions and monitor compliance with defined processes
  • Ensure compliance with Company disbursement policies
  • Ensure that vendor related liabilities are appropriately reflected in the general ledger as part of the monthly accounting close
  • Identify and implement processing efficiencies as part of a continuous improvement effort
  • Other duties as assigned
