About The Position

Under the direction of the department manager, this position is responsible for the overall coordination and management of account analysis operations activities, the implementation and ongoing servicing of account analysis for client companies, and providing operational and technical assistance to various areas within the bank. This position is responsible for meeting servicing and efficiency goals to ensure quality client service and satisfaction. In addition, this position is responsible for demonstrating the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by participating in and practicing ESS disciplines and behaviors.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires minimum of seven years bank or related work experience with an emphasis on deposit and deposit related products and bank operational areas.
  • Minimum one year supervisory or management experience.
  • Demonstrated use of a PC/computer based software to include word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, desktop publishing and database programs.
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access required.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, sales and marketing, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated project management and systems project experience; multi-media communicator, demonstrated leadership ability.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of all employees in the section including staffing, scheduling, compensation, performance management, training and development, succession planning and affirmative action to effectively utilize group and individual capabilities and enhance individual/group development and performance.
  • Responsible for the timely and effective management of Human Resources forms and documents relevant to immediate staff.
  • Analyzes Cash Management and business unit strategies, business plans and practices, performance, customer profitability, products and pricing, target markets, organizational structure, and a multitude of other elements.
  • Extracts requisite data from the account analysis system and various other bank database systems, performs analyses, and produces preliminary-findings reports.
  • Reviews and validates overall monthly account analysis results to ensure accurate and timely collection of service fees for various business units throughout the bank.
  • Identifies issues, investigates and formulates recommendations to resolve or escalate as necessary.
  • Resolves the more complex working problems.
  • Develops/maintains quality client relations which may include servicing complex issues for high valued clients.
  • Interacts with Primary Relationship Officers and Cash Management Officers as a business partner in providing sound problem resolution alternatives and business solutions.
  • Keeps informed of new developments or ideas which would affect operations, through trade or other publications and occasional outside visits and meetings.
  • Provides technical support as needed to service representatives, cash management staff, sales, product, and account officers, and clients.
  • Develops, designs, documents, and implements new methods and procedures as required making daily operations of the team more efficient.
  • Controls and monitors the progress of all projects, monthly billings, and assigned tasks within the team.
  • Creates, tests, and maintains business recovery plans for the section and performs annual vendor management review as required by bank policies
  • In cooperation with management, ensures that all audit reports and responses are acceptable.
  • Assists with section’s capital and operating budget plans and budget variance analysis and forecast updates.
  • Assists in the preparation and review of the section’s cost allocation to ensure appropriate distribution to affected cost centers.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.
  • As a Bank of Hawaii employee, you ensure (or assist with ensuring) compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
