About The Position

The incumbent would be expected to teach MIS courses, including but not limited to Microcomputers for Business, Management Information Systems, Business Programming, Decision Support Systems, Management of Information Technology, Networking, and Advanced Computer Applications, as well as other courses listed under the MIS Major and Minor Programs in the College of Business. Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs. Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of the field. Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities. Contribute to student growth and development, including student advising. Provide service to the university and community, including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community. Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve. Emphasize the changing market need for AI, cybersecurity, and other areas listed that address AACSB competencies.

Requirements

  • PhD. from an AACSB-accredited Management of Information Systems program in the School of Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in MIS courses or similar experience in teaching/training.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins.
