About The Position

Management in Training – Food & Beverage Primary Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the outlet to ensure the quality and standard of product and service are being met. Assist in scheduling, supervising, training and counseling staff. Consistently review the restaurant’s profit and loss and focus on achieving set budget. Apply marketing promotion in the restaurant to boost monthly revenue. Create SOPs for additional standards necessary to improve the operation. Assume the responsibility of the Restaurant Manager in his/her absence. Essential Duties: Assist to manage restaurant following company policies, procedures and terms and conditions of the CBA. Assist restaurant manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant assigned to ensure the quality and standard of product and service are being met. Knowledgeable on the menu and all food and beverage served in the restaurant. Review reservations, floor plan, and seating charts prior to service. Ensure all supplies, equipment and linen are available for operation. Greet guests, assist in seating, and servicing when needed. Ensure that special requests and VIPs are serviced properly. Ensure county regulations and hotel policies on serving alcoholic beverages are followed. Assist with training, supervision, evaluation, counseling, and discipline for staff. Respond and resolve guest or employee concerns in a timely manner. Check daily labor report to ensure staff levels are within the set budget. Regularly gather ideas for marketing promotion in the restaurant and set one in place each month. Create SOPs for additional standards necessary to improve the operation. Ensure safety training and standards are maintained. Relieve in other food and beverage positions as needed. Assume the responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager in his/her absence. Perform other related duties as assigned or required. Other Duties: Conduct daily pre-shift meetings. Attend resort management meetings. Maintain department bulletin boards. Assist restaurant staff with service as needed.
