About The Position

LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Management Analyst III to join our team. Location: Newport, Rhode Island Job Description: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport’s (NUWCDIVNPT’s) Ranges, Engineering, and Analysis Department (Code 70) delivers full-spectrum undersea test and evaluation (T&E) and fleet training capabilities by providing world-class instrumentation, facilities, engineering, and analysis. It accomplishes its missions through a variety of programs and service costs centers, including but not limited to: the In Services Engineering Agent (ISEA) Range; Undersea Warfare Training Range; Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Program; Undersea Tracking Range Equipment Programs; and Advanced Instrumentation Systems Technology (AIST) Program. Code 70 also maintains and operates several detachments, to include Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC). The Management Analyst III will collect, review, and analyze information to provide management support services for Code 70 programs on the Code 70 Program Management Support Services contract.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced Degree from an accredited university in a business or technical field.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or financial/cost analysis.
  • Significant experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.
  • Relevant professional experience with U.S. Navy program finance and accounting, including:
  • Reviewing, processing, and correcting transactions.
  • Program financial management.
  • Budgeting and reporting methods.
  • Experience with performing financial transactions in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system.
  • Experience with other ERP systems, such as SAP ERP, is not considered applicable.
  • Non-financial experience with N-ERP, such as for logistics transactions, is not considered applicable.
  • NERP – Navy Enterprise Resource Planning experience.
  • EDW - Enterprise Data Warehouse experience.
  • NEPS - NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Current, active Secret security clearance.
  • WAAP - Workload Acceptance and Assignment Process experience.
  • ASI - Accounting System Interface experience.
  • MMTS - Material Management Tracking System experience.
  • Subject matter expert in Excel

Responsibilities

  • Define the nature and extent of problems.
  • Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, cost performance, schedule or expenditures.
  • Interview managers and employees while observing their operations.
  • Develop solutions to problems. In the course of preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.
  • Prepare and solve mathematical models.
  • Report findings and recommendations to the Government.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
