About The Position

This position provides professional and technical advice and assistance to system users in over 370 school administrative units and 87 private schools on complex assignments, and coordinates problem resolution activities with vendors, and other department and school unit personnel. This position tests and helps develop implementation of new systems, develops, and implements new procedures and recommends organizational changes to improve data quality and program efficiencies. Work is performed under limited supervision and may include supervision of temporary and contracted helpdesk staff.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of school operations relative to data collection and data recording methods
  • Knowledge of State and federal education data reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of data collection and interpretation methods and techniques, validation, and reporting
  • Knowledge of educational information management systems
  • Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of school organization and data workflows
  • Ability to communicate effectively to provide quality customer service
  • Ability to develop recommendations for the revision of policies and procedures regarding education data collections
  • Ability to implement new systems, policies, and procedures regarding education data collections
  • Ability to oversee, review, evaluate, and direct the work of others
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information about data to system users.
  • Eight (8) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.

  • Preference will be given to candidates that have experience with data systems or reporting platforms, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to a wide range of users.

Responsibilities

  • The MEDMS Support Analyst provides professional, technical, and analytical support to ensure accurate collection, validation, and reporting of education data across school administrative units, vendors, and internal teams.
  • The position develops and maintains system documentation and user guidance, supports data quality and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements, and assists with system troubleshooting and workflow improvements.
  • This role collaborates closely with program staff and Helpdesk teams to resolve complex data issues, supports training and user communications, and helps ensure timely, accurate data submissions that inform policy decisions and operational planning
