About The Position

Eisenhower Health is seeking a Mammography Tech I to produce quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams. The role involves educating patients about exams and accurately documenting procedures and codes. Requirements

Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R)
California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography
American Heart Association BLS
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situations
Ability to communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and accurate exchange of information
Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
Proficient in the use of mammography and DEXA equipment

Responsibilities

Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; provides explanations of procedures and equipment, and answers questions
Escorts patient from sub-wait area to procedure room.
Explains procedure to patient prior to beginning exam.
Obtains appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before procedure is started.
Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature, as appropriate.
Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS.
Performs bone density screening as assigned.
Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms.
Maintains job knowledge per the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements.
Follows department timekeeping procedures.
Works at main campus and satellite facilities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
