About The Position

The Youth Ministry Associate plays a key role in discipling students and developing student leaders within Cornerstone Youth, with a primary focus on Student Leadership and Outreach . This role is designed for a growing ministry leader who desires hands-on experience, intentional coaching, and real responsibility within a healthy team structure. The Associate will help carry out the Youth Director’s vision by investing relationally in students, supporting leaders, and strengthening leadership development systems. This role emphasizes presence, discipleship, leadership development, and formalizing an outreach model for High Schools. This position does not require having everything figured out, but it does require humility, initiative, faithfulness, and a desire to grow as a shepherd and leader.

Responsibilities

  • Help lead, create and support the Student Leadership Team through regular gatherings, training environments, and retreats.
  • Disciple male students through one-on-ones, small groups, and consistent relational presence.
  • Create an outreach plan to partner with students to reach their school.
  • Be a presence at local schools and sporting events.
  • Create a system to bring our staff and leaders along with you.
  • Assist with weekly youth programming, environments, and execution.
  • Teach occasionally and grow in ministry communication, teaching, and leadership skills.
  • Help create welcoming, engaging, and spiritually intentional youth environments.
  • Partner with the Logistics & Operations Lead to support group systems, follow-up processes, and communication rhythms.
  • Help ensure students are connected, followed up with, and cared for.
  • Learn and contribute to ministry organization, systems, and workflows.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, training, and mentorship.
  • Engage in intentional spiritual formation, leadership growth, and feedback rhythms.
  • Pursue personal holiness, humility, and faithfulness in life and ministry.
