ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To maintain, at all times, operational equipment by weekly maintenance of all roll forms, presses, air compressors, platers, etc., by greasing and lubricating all mechanical equipment parts i.e., bearings, crank cases, etc. Does any and all repair and maintenance work as production equipment breaks down. Performs it as quickly and efficiently as possible to allow little or no down time. Maintains facility's structural and mechanical equipment as needed, i.e., repairs fans, heaters, electrical, mechanical and plumbing fixtures as expertise allows. Builds and installs safety guards around machines. Fills in wherever needed as time allows. Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. Other job duties as assigned by supervisor or group leader. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Statistical Process Control and Problem Solving Training. TYPICAL MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT INVOLVED: Roll Forms, Presses, Air Compressors, Plater, Welder, Heater, Gas Ovens, Fans, High Lift and all types of mechanical equipment. TOOLS AND GAGES: All mechanical tools, welders, cutting torches, calipers, protractors, gages and meters, etc. METHOD OF JOB ASSIGNMENT: Verbal and written. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to do Statistical Process Control, Linear Measuring and Problem Solving. Ability to read blueprints required. Flexibility and ability to prioritize needs. Previous experience in maintenance work very helpful. Skills in basic welding helpful. Suggested 3-5 years previous experience. Proficient computer skills.
