About The Position

The Maintenance Utility role requires individuals with good vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination. Candidates must be able to follow written work instructions, multitask, and possess strong team-orientation and communication skills, along with great attention to detail. The position involves significant physical demands, including the ability to lift 50lbs regularly, grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength regularly, and generate 15lbs of pinch strength occasionally. A pre-employment physical, including the ability to wear a respiratory mask when required, is mandatory. The role also involves performing elevated work regularly, standing on concrete for up to 8 hours, and operating various powered industrial trucks and equipment, for which certification is required. Adherence to all safety rules and wearing required personal protective equipment are essential.

Nice To Haves

• Previous maintenance and janitorial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Be able to follow work instructions and procedures
• Operation of specific vehicles (Case End loader, skid loader, tow motor and other utility Equipment)
• Assists other departments by effectively and efficiently keeping the flow of materials and assisting maintenance department as needed.
• Reading pH meters, calibrate gauges, and responsible handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste through the direction of the Environmental and Safety department.
• Unload sand hoppers, and sand trucks, trash hoppers and cardboard hoppers
• Clean bathrooms, hallways, etc.
• Run sweeper equipment and floor care equipment
• Move items such as file cabinets, desks, etc. as needed
• Clean and perform preventive maintenance on sand mixers
