About The Position

BHJ USA, LLC. is a leading supplier of fresh/frozen meat blends to both the wet and dry pet food industries. They are seeking a motivated individual to be responsible for a variety of general maintenance tasks related to the maintenance and repair of manufacturing plant or machinery in the processing of raw materials for the pet food, pharmaceutical and feed industries.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to complete all assigned tasks and shifts as assigned according to production requirements
• Ability to work as a part of a team and treat coworkers with respect

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Experience in the meat processing industry is desired but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform repair or general maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment under the direction of Maintenance Technicians or Manager
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
• Sharpen blades, clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery
• Complete parts runs or other errands for maintenance department
• Provide grounds keeping services, such as landscaping and snow removal
• Maintain various tools and equipment used in the course of work and all shop, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion
• Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)
• Adhere to attendance guidelines of the company at the assigned work location
