About The Position

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Maintenance Training Supervisor located in Austin, TX. Reporting to the manager the potential candidate would be responsible for providing supervision and direction to subordinate staff and coordinates work flow within technical training team including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning staff to cover for absences, providing technical assistance, answering questions, and resolving problems within the work unit supervising. Shift Hours: 8:00 am 5:00 pm

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor degree or equivalent experience in addition to 5 years of operations experience.
  • Ability to operate telephones, data entry, office software including, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and data base systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and direction to subordinate staff and coordinates work flow within technical training team including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning staff to cover for absences, providing technical assistance, answering questions, and resolving problems within the work unit supervising.
  • Coordinates team activities in order to maximize operations equipment utilization in the support training needs.
  • Establishes technical training team course schedules.
  • Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
  • Serves as a liaison between the technical training team and other groups for the distribution and collection of information to resolve technical skill-gap issues.
  • Regularly reviews factory operating performance, evaluate technical training gaps that may be impacting performance, and implement changes in technical training course changes to improve efficiencies/quality.
  • Supervises the development and implementation of training programs
  • Coordinates training activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations.
  • Conducts training per technical training team course plan
  • Provides training and coaching to junior ream members and direct reports
  • Assists in department budget planning and manage department expenses.
  • Assists in reporting team KPIs and improvement plans
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance of standards.
  • Ensure that all technical training team personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions, and that no task is performed by untrained personnel.
  • Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered.
  • Leverages industry practices and applies to internal systems and processes.
