About The Position

Responsible for ensuring equipment availability by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems as well as working as part of a team to recommend and carry out solutions that minimize plant downtime. Impact Silgan Dispensing by utilizing their extensive electrical and mechanical skills. Contribute to a collaborative safety culture that drives results and be able to work with all members of the organization.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment preferably plastic injection molding.
Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
Must have demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills – both Mechanical and Electrical.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Must be motivated to work without constant supervision in a group setting with ability to help peers.

Nice To Haves

10-15 years’ experience preferred.
Preference given to candidate who have education and strong practical experience in the areas of electrical, mechanical, control systems and hydraulics.
Demonstrated experience with machine repair, experience with CNC machining equipment ideal.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper operation of injection molding machinery and secondary processing equipment by completing repairs and preventive maintenance on items such as electrical and hydraulic motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and material handling systems, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
Collaborate with production staff and maintenance technicians to troubleshoot issues.
Understand, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems.
Work safely and effectively with electrical panels and control systems, including high voltage/low voltage systems.
Perform PLC troubleshooting and problem solve with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
Provide support for both production and facilities equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance as required by the equipment manufacturer or as established by CPI.
Follow company safety protocols and observe good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
Perform other duties as assigned.
