About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of facility equipment by conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and performing general repairs. This role requires a detail-oriented and resourceful professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing technical issues and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA standards for maintenance operations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and CNC machinery.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance software or Enterprise Resource Planning systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with manufacturing equipment and implement timely repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to reduce unexpected breakdowns and extend operational lifespan.
  • Inspect and test equipment components to identify potential issues and maintain performance standards.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
  • Conduct general repairs and maintenance for the facility, including electrical systems, and structural components.
  • Assist in the installation, modification, and relocation of equipment as needed.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Document equipment performance data and report recurring issues to management for further action.
  • Work closely with the Facilities Manager to plan and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Partner with operations staff to address equipment concerns and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and maintenance practices to support operational efficiency.
  • Act as a resource for training team members on proper equipment use and maintenance best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
