About The Position

At Richelieu Foods we make Great Food from Great People. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to provide support and solutions in our ever-changing food manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 2- 8 years’ experience operating wrappers and packaging equipment.
Some Experience in maintenance or related fields can be beneficial, especially for those with some experience as maintenance technician.
Basic knowledge of troubleshooting bearings, belts, sprockets, chains, and any other moving parts in the equipment.
Ability to make recommendations on spare parts, lock-out-tag-out, and machine Guarding.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and work orders using a tablet.
Ability to follow directions.

Nice To Haves

Willing to work in 2nd shift - 3:30pm-2am
Strong Mechanical Aptitude and knowledge of equipment functions.
Knowledge using hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assists Maintenance Technicians on repairs
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Makes necessary adjustments to functional parts of devices and control instruments, based on production requirements.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment based on schedule or immediate needs.
Creates and enters work orders for necessary repairs.
Allocate and documents hours worked on applicable work orders.
Disassembles and assembles production equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Install, move and relocate machinery/equipment according to drawings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
