About The Position

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production, facility, and utility equipment in a food manufacturing environment to support safe and efficient operations. Respond promptly to production line calls, diagnose equipment issues, and communicate repair status and expected downtime to Production and Maintenance Leadership. Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and inspections in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues on production and facility equipment. Safely dismantle, repair, adjust, and reassemble machinery and equipment as required. Inspect replacement parts and components to ensure compliance with OEM specifications and manufacturer tolerances. Maintain and support facility and utility systems including HVAC, boilers, steam lines, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure. Coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation work to minimize disruption to production operations. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, GMP, and regulatory requirements, including maintaining clean tools, equipment, and work areas. Ensure production lines are clear of tools and equipment prior to startup or restart following maintenance activities. Accurately complete work orders, logs, and documentation using the EFCO work order ticketing system. Document materials and parts used and communicate needs to Maintenance Leadership. Participate in training and support Maintenance and Production teams as needed to meet business demands. Promptly report unusual conditions, safety concerns, or actual or potential facility damage.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment , including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and packaging machinery.
  • Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems , including low‑voltage (sensors, photo eyes, relays) and high‑voltage systems (motors, panels, disconnects).
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and lubrication activities.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, steam lines, and plant utilities .
  • Ability to safely disassemble, inspect, adjust, and reassemble machinery and equipment.
  • Basic welding, fabrication, and hand‑tool skills appropriate for maintenance work.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, safety instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Maintenance and Production personnel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following defined escalation processes.
  • Ability to safely operate tools, testing devices, diagnostic equipment, and forklifts when trained and certified.
  • Ability to stand or walk for the duration of the shift and work in cold or freezer environments as required.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds .
  • Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity to safely perform essential job functions.
