The Maintenance Technician is a dynamic, and results-driven professional with a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced, highly technical environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position will be part of a high-performance maintenance team, executing routine maintenance, ad hoc repairs, and supporting the troubleshooting of all factory machinery while minimizing disruptions and down time. The ideal individual is relentless in their pursuit of solutions to complex problems and brings experience in highly automated manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a maintenance technician servicing complex automated machinery
  • Knowledge of installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and equipment
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Proven judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving, stress-management, collaboration, and communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HOMAG and Weinmann equipment
  • Experience with KUKA robotics equipment

Responsibilities

  • Support commissioning and set-up of plant machinery
  • Complete routine maintenance and repairs to minimize down time
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine appropriate solutions; Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of automated equipment
  • Proactively identify potential future problems and recommend preventative/mitigative strategies
  • Document and record maintenance and repair activities, producing detailed service records
  • Other duties as required
