About The Position

Essential Functions Ability to work in fast paced just in time environment Ability to safely operate basic machine shop equipment including lathes, drills, grinders, etc. Ability to safely operate and work from overhead equipment including scissors lift, and cherry picker. Ability to work safely around large tonnage presses, high heat furnaces, and high speed robot equipment. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment Ability work safely in confined spaces using appropriate PPE. Listens for unusual sounds from machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment Installs programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers Aware and understand environmental requirements for handling, storing and disposal of waste Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts Additional Functions Job Dimensions (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities or KSAs)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years’ prior experience in industrial maintenance
