About The Position

This position is responsible for the repairing and maintaining of machinery and facilities, both interior and exterior. Some examples would be, electric motors, pneumatic lines, hydraulic lines, conveyor systems, various furniture production equipment, electrical systems, rooftop and ground level dust system components, water lines, minor plumbing and various other plant related maintenance. Essential Duties Provide or assist in the repairs and maintenance of facility machinery and utilities. Observes equipment in operation and determines the need for repairs. Disassemble equipment as necessary to allow for proper repairs. Examines and verifies that new components are acceptable for use on equipment. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control mechanisms to assure proper equipment function. Cleans, lubricates, and provides preventive maintenance to equipment per factory and company standards. Operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment to make and repair parts as needed. Knowledgeable and experienced on both power and hand tools Assists in repairs to electrical equipment Must follow all safety policies and procedures Carry out all essential duties required in the Maintenance Department daily.
