Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment and ensure compliance with all safety and PPE requirements. Preventive maintenance repairs include performing safety related inspections on production and facility equipment. Diagnose trouble shoot, plan and perform all mechanical operations required to modify, dismantle, repair overhaul and rebuild all types of plant process machinery and equipment (electrical, PLC/Electronics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical, etc.). Building facility and grounds maintenance. Diagnose basic plumbing or HVAC issues. Ensure repairs done to equipment are completed correctly and are verified by testing the equipment for proper operation and functionality. Works in cooperation with engineering, manufacturing and/or outside contractors as directed. Monitor spare parts inventory and request replacements as needed. Planning work time to meet all needs of the plant. Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Replace or repair parts including motors, belts, sensors, valves, bearings, and gears. Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) used by the company. Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment. Respond quickly to emergency maintenance calls to minimize downtime. Inform Maintenance Supervisor of any issues that affect production. Support continuous improvement projects to improve productivity. Conduct duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
