About The Position

Ben & Jerry’s is an American ice cream company founded in 1978 in Burlington, Vermont, by childhood friends Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, growing from a single renovated gas‑station scoop shop into a globally recognized brand. The company is known for its creative, chunk-filled flavors and its strong commitment to social and environmental activism, embedding values like fairness, sustainability, and human rights into its business model. The Ben & Jerry’s factory in St. Albans, Vermont, is a major production site capable of churning out over 100 million pints of ice cream per year. The plant is also deeply involved in sustainability efforts, sending ice‑cream waste to nearby anaerobic digestion systems that convert it into renewable energy, helping reduce landfill use and support Vermont’s clean‑energy goals. As a Maintenance Technician, you help keep the factory running smoothly by fixing equipment quickly and preventing breakdowns before they happen. Your work supports production goals, keeps every batch safe and high‑quality, and helps avoid costly downtime. Overall, you make the entire operation more reliable, efficient, and successful.
