About The Position

ABM Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operational needs of a commercial facility in the Burlington, MA area. This role is responsible for performing general building maintenance, responding to service requests, and assisting with routine upkeep of facility spaces and equipment. The technician will help ensure the site remains safe, functional, and well‑maintained for daily operations.
The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in general maintenance practices and a willingness to learn and grow within a facilities environment. Working as part of an onsite team, the Maintenance Technician will assist with scheduled tasks, basic troubleshooting, and day‑to‑day facility support while delivering professional and customer‑focused service.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 4:30AM

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• 1+ year of general maintenance, building operations, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to use standard maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with building staff and occupants.

Nice To Haves

• Trade/vocational training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine general maintenance throughout the facility, including minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and lighting.
• Support preventive maintenance programs on building systems and equipment.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of HVAC components such as filters, belts, and thermostats.
• Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct regular inspections of facility spaces and mechanical areas, reporting deficiencies as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, including equipment and mechanical rooms.
• Provide customer-focused support to building occupants and onsite teams.
• Follow all ABM safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
