POSITION OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE: As a Full-Time Maintenance and repair Technician, you can expect engaging and hands-on experience! The purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to provide general maintenance and construction support to all company-owned and company-managed production facilities, including but not limited to plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, electrical and machine and vehicle servicing, and manure application.

Requirements

Working knowledge of general mechanical skills, including general carpentry, welding, electrical, plumbing & concrete experience
Strong communication and multi-tasking skills

Nice To Haves

Previous plumbing, painting, machine servicing, electrical and/or Agriculture experience preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair and rebuild various production mechanisms and equipment to ensure effective operation, including but not limited to loading chutes, crates, gates, ventilation system components, curtains, power washers, feed and water systems
Provide general maintenance and upkeep on buildings to prevent deterioration, including but not limited to building partitions, walls, roofs & roof systems, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, concrete repairs and other parts of building structures
Perform general, preventative maintenance service and repairs on air-conditioning and heating systems
Provide general plumbing repair and installation
Ensure the proper planning and completion of new construction, minor remodeling and ad hoc projects as assigned
Develop and maintain knowledge in the procedures and safety measures in the areas of plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, machine servicing, electrical and/or vehicle servicing
Adhere to all company vehicle policies, and follow all local, state and federal regulations associated with operating a motor vehicle
Demonstrate, promote and adhere to all Company safety policies
Be knowledgeable and adhere to all Company bio-security protocols
Assist with barn chores as needed assigned by supervisor, this can include manure application
