About The Position
A leading food service packaging manufacturing facility in Plymouth, IN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support plant operations. This role is critical to maintaining production efficiency through advanced troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who not only replaces parts—but can diagnose issues and determine root causes across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or technical school education required
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, circuits, controls)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16”)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of safety standards including lockout/tagout and general industrial safety
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to transition between shifts as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, wiring, and control devices
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems including gearboxes, conveyors, and motors
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks (lubrication, alignment, wear checks, etc.)
- Identify and report defective materials or unsafe conditions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and other equipment as needed
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete maintenance tasks
