About The Position

A leading food service packaging manufacturing facility in Plymouth, IN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support plant operations. This role is critical to maintaining production efficiency through advanced troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who not only replaces parts—but can diagnose issues and determine root causes across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical school education required
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, circuits, controls)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16”)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of safety standards including lockout/tagout and general industrial safety
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to transition between shifts as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, wiring, and control devices
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems including gearboxes, conveyors, and motors
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks (lubrication, alignment, wear checks, etc.)
  • Identify and report defective materials or unsafe conditions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, and other equipment as needed
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete maintenance tasks
