About The Position

You will work onsite as a Maintenance Technician at Conagra Brand Foods (Vlasic) in Imlay City, Michigan. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of production equipment, offering a variety of technical challenges. Openings are available on both afternoon and midnight shifts, working in a team environment and reporting to a shift supervisor. Daily overtime and weekend work are scheduled based on business demand. The hourly rate is determined by experience, skills, and certifications, with a full mechanical rate of $31.08 per hour, plus a shift differential of $0.25/hour for the 2nd shift or $0.40/hour for the 3rd shift. The position is eligible for Michigan Earned Sick Time, accruing one hour for every thirty hours worked. Requirements

  • Fabrication, machine shop skills and a mechanical background
  • Develop working relationships to ensure correction of machine failures and implement preventative maintenance measures
  • Complete work orders and record material used on jobs
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including forklift, mechanical lifts, ladders, scaffolding and hand tools
  • Working knowledge of conveyors, variable frequency drives, electrical motors and industrial controls
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
  • Work daily/weekend overtime as scheduled
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Welding, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pumps, Gearboxes, and Boilers

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and recommend improvements for equipment
  • Review daily schedule to ensure equipment setup
  • Compliance with plant safety and environmental regulations
