About The Position

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and play a key role in keeping our manufacturing facility running smoothly. In this hands-on role, you’ll put your technical skills to work by performing a variety of equipment and building maintenance tasks – ranging from routine upkeep to more complex troubleshooting and repairs. You’ll have the opportunity to: Maintain and repair injection molding equipment and other critical manufacturing systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Use your expertise to solve technical challenges and keep production moving. Contribute to a culture of quality by following Zirc’s documented processes and upholding our high standards. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 6:00am - 4:30pm. Requirements

Experience working with hydraulics (valves, hoses, etc.), injection molding machinery, and electrical equipment.
Knowledge of water systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and crawl on and around machinery.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair (including electrical and mechanical issues) injection molding machinery and other manufacturing equipment, which may require dismantling and thoroughly cleaning a machine, repairing/replacing defective parts, and testing equipment to ensure it is running properly.
Perform periodic preventive maintenance and inspection checks on equipment and tools.
Conduct proactive repairs and maintenance as needed.
Assist in the installation of all new machinery and removal of old machinery according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements.
Perform building maintenance to include, but not limited to plumbing, mechanical, and electrical issues, furniture installation, light bulb replacement, roofing issues, etc.
Repair, replace, or be the point of contact for third parties assisting with repairing/replacing building equipment such as air conditioners, heaters, etc.
Safely operate forklifts and other machinery to transport material, machines, equipment, etc.
Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of unnecessary materials.
Take on additional duties as assigned to support the maintenance and operations team.
