About The Position

Maintenance Technicians manage building and equipment maintenance schedules, test building security systems and perform general maintenance tasks. Maintenance Technician will schedule and manage sub-contractors as directed by the Director of Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor, and often act as a liaison between supply vendors and contractors. Duties & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Schedule preventative maintenance. Respond to urgent maintenance calls and must be able to be on call periodically on a regular basis. Participate in the creation of on-going repair and maintenance plans. HVAC certified having knowledge on systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems Must have knowledge of and experience in commercial building operating systems to include plumbing, electrical, heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC), energy management, life safety, general repairs and carpentry, painting, finishes and light construction practices. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program. Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service. Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns. Must be willing and able to work an on-call rotation schedule 1 week out of every 4 weeks. Handle general repairs to include, but not limited to, painting, hanging fixtures, pictures and shelving, assembling furniture and fixtures and purchasing required supplies. Review facilities supply needs and anticipate future facilities maintenance needs. Maintain facility grounds and buildings inside and out. Oversee the care and maintenance of all equipment owned/rented by Hanley for the purpose of carrying out maintenance jobs. Uphold all Hanley Foundation Policies and Procedures. Maintain client/potential client confidentiality in accordance with Hanley Policy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Verifiable Skilled trade experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience providing preventive and general maintenance/repairs required.
  • If in recovery, 1 year of continuous sobriety is required.
  • Good understanding of OSHA and state facilities regulations and standards.
  • Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass and maintain MVR requirements per policy.
  • Must be able to perform emergency functions during off duty hours as well as be on an on-call schedule to cover weekends and holidays. You will be required to clock in for these extra hours worked.
  • General knowledge and basic skills in the areas of painting, plumbing, assembly, grounds maintenance and general electric.
  • Should be able to read blue prints and schematics.
  • High energy and self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
