For more information, please visit www.vibrantz.com and www.american-securities.com Location Quincy, IL The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports production by minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment performance, and adhering to all safety and operational standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED with 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and maintenance systems
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to all environmental, health, and safety requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as Certified Welder or Certified Maintenance Technician
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, fabrication, and welding
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics systems
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., CPR, Confined Space, NFPA 70E)

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure safe and reliable operations
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques, including while equipment is in operation
  • Complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
  • Perform light fabrication and welding as needed to support equipment and facility needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and utilize basic computer systems to support maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and support training to promote a safe and productive work environment
