Position: Maintenance Technician (Plastic Injection Molding) Location: Berlin, CT (On-Site) Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm Compensation: $34 - $38/hr (Dependent on Experience) Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Position Summary: This role is responsible for performing maintenance and repair on all plastic injection molding machinery and equipment including robots, chillers, thermolators and hot running systems.

Requirements

  • Prior plastic injection molding maintenance experience (required)
  • Ability to follow established procedures, read blueprints and maintain accurate records
  • Understanding of auxiliary, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, robots and machines
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work in loud manufacturing environment
  • Occasional need to bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking / standing

Responsibilities

  • Repairing, troubleshooting, and inspecting all mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Performing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on machines and robots according to specifications
  • Regularly checking heater bands, rings and pulling screws / barrels
  • Safely utilizing the proper equipment to access jobs to both remove and install parts
