About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for independently completing maintenance and repair work across company-managed properties while ensuring high-quality service, accurate documentation, and strong resident communication. This role requires hands-on technical ability, problem-solving skills, and full ownership of work orders from start to finish. Maintenance Technicians help drive property performance by completing work efficiently, accurately, and with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Maintenance Technician (residential property management preferred)
  • Ability to diagnose and complete repairs across multiple trades
  • Strong organization, time management, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Basic technology skills and ability to use mobile work order systems
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical job duties
  • Must provide basic tools
  • Availability for on-call rotation
  • Background check required

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, and drywall
  • Respond to service requests promptly, with a goal of resolution within 24 hours when possible
  • Diagnose issues and complete repairs independently
  • Complete unit turns (make-readies) to support timely occupancy
  • Identify and communicate additional maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Ensure all work meets building codes and safety standards
  • Provide professional, courteous, and solution-oriented service to residents
  • Communicate clearly about work scope, timelines, and follow-up needs
  • Accurately complete work orders including time, materials, notes, photos, and receipts
  • Close out work orders according to company standards
  • Source parts and materials needed to complete repairs
  • Coordinate with vendors or contractors when necessary
  • Stay responsive using work order systems, Microsoft Teams, text, and email
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations
