About The Position

We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in the food manufacturing industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment critical to food production and packaging processes. This role requires in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, a commitment to maintaining high food safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as Maintenance Worker for at least 3 years.
  • Handles the physical demand of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting at least 50lbs.
  • Experience in food manufacture is 3 years minimum.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Team player able to work well with others and contribute to the team.
  • Able to take the initiative when needed.
  • Able to work weekends and Holidays when required.
  • Reliable hard miss days.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical failure.
  • Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment on a different shift depending on the production schedule.
  • Perform facility maintenance, including plumbing, patching walls, electrical repairs, etc.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals to perform accurate repairs.
  • Maintain accurate record of mechanical activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and service logs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.
  • Follow GMP and Food Safety and comply with company policies.
