About The Position

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities owned or leased by Richmond Fitness, Inc., according to safety, predictive, productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.

  • Three years commercial building maintenance to include maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, building systems, fittings and structure.
  • Successful completion of state approved HVAC training. This requirement may be waived for purposes of hiring if incumbent agrees to begin HVAC training in the next available class after date of hire.
  • Certified as Universal by EPA.
  • Incumbent is required to use aerial work platforms. Training and certification will be provided by Colonial Powerlift after date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain all facilities and equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing, electrical and mechanical functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform applicable daily operation of a software based maintenance program.
  • Provide adequate personal vehicle to assist in daily operations.
  • Accurately complete administrative paperwork and submit to the GM for approval to submit to the Home Office, including but not limited to payroll records (paper and electronic), personnel records and new hire paper work before placing a new employee on the schedule.
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned.
