About The Position

Maintenance Technician| Grottoes, VA| Hiring Immediately Compensation: Starting pay rate is a $30.55 - paid weekly! Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity Available Shift: 7:00AM-7:00PM/7:00PM-7:00AM (2x2x3)(will rotate quarterly from days to nights) TEXT TO APPLY NUMBER: 928-668-6539 (928-NOVOLEX) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform all assigned Electrical duties in a safe and cost-effective manner. Minimize downtime by providing fast and accurate troubleshooting, repair, inspection, maintenance, service, calibration, installation and configuration of related manufacturing and production equipment. Execute work orders Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors and managers. Maintain necessary records and documents of work performed. Troubleshoot PLC hardware Operate electrical test equipment and interpret results Read, understand and make use of associated drawings, schematics and diagrams Prepare accurate documents Understand, interpret and apply the National Electrical Code - NEC Plan, organize and prioritize work activities and duties Multitask and work under pressure Work flexible hours EQUIPMENT: AC & DC motors; motor controls; VFD’s; electrical distribution (480vac or less); PLC’s; pneumatics; hydraulics; extruders; winders; packing and box machinery; slitters; center-folders; grinders; shredders; chillers; heat exchangers; conveyors; and air compressors.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience as an Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician, or 2 years trade/technical school in a related field, or 4 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience with electrical knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Work alone, with a skilled tradesperson or operations personnel
  • Work in a team environment
  • Work with limited supervision
  • Able to stand for long periods, climb, kneel, squat and crawl
  • Lift and carry materials and equipment of 50 lbs or less
  • Work flexible hours
  • Electrical equipment and instrumentation or controls
  • AC & DC motors, motor controls and MCC’a
  • Electrical distribution and related equipment
  • AC variable frequency drives/DC variable speed drives
  • Programmable Logic Controllers and automated equipment
  • General Industrial or Manufacturing standards & practices including OSHA
