Maintenance Technician

10 West Real Estate GroupGlen Ellyn, IL
$29 - $37

About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be based primarily at a large residential community and provide coverage across a small number of nearby properties within your assigned portfolio. All properties within your pod are located within a close geographic radius, so travel between sites is minimal and predictable. This role requires a high level of technical skill, sound judgment, and the ability to manage your own workload without constant oversight. You will be trusted to diagnose issues, plan repairs, complete complex work correctly the first time, and move efficiently from site to site. Much of your work will involve advanced repairs, renovations, and full or partial unit remodels. When you are not on-site at your home property, you will support neighboring properties as workload and scheduling require. We are looking for a true trades professional who can go heads-down, work autonomously, and consistently deliver quality results.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and determine the appropriate repair approach without step-by-step direction
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands across multiple locations
  • Comfort using mobile technology and work order systems; experience with AppFolio or similar property management software is a plus
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, including lifting up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and working in varied weather conditions.
