About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in food manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment critical to food production and packaging operations. This role requires solid mechanical and electrical knowledge, a commitment to food safety standards, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures. Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Perform preventive maintenance based on production schedules, including support across different shifts as needed. Conduct facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and general building upkeep. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to complete accurate repairs. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts inventory, and service logs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP, and food safety standards. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and productivity. Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food manufacturing maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative.
  • Flexible to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Reliable with strong attendance record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • HVAC knowledge is a plus.
