About The Position

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Mechanical Maintenance Technician who will be based at our Freeport, TX facility. The objective of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our production facility. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for identifying and completing planned and unplanned maintenance work on both rotating and static mechanical equipment. This person will work independently, make technical decisions, and escalate technical concerns in the field to line management in a timely fashion for proper support and action. Requirements

  • 5+ year's experience in an industrial production environment
  • Ability to interpret equipment drawings required
  • Functional computer skills required
  • On-call ability required, 24/7 operations
  • Willing to support multiple facilities within the Texas City /Houston Ship Channel Area

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and facilities (pumps, piping, valves, etc.).
  • Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, gaskets, fittings, etc.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems and ensures work order history is created and updated accordingly.
  • Manage need for critical spares to maintain onsite mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain shop and parts warehouse
  • Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database.
