Maintenance Technician (Tracy EHP) In-Person Full-Time (40 hours per week) Position in Tracy, CA (Non-Exempt) Who We Are Ruby's Place dba Restorative Pathways (RP) is an innovative nonprofit committed to ending domestic violence, human trafficking, and violent crime through hope, advocacy and connection. Our services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health services, substance recovery, and wrap-around services. All our services are trauma-sensitive and client-centered and are provided at no cost to our clients. All programs are low barrier. You Are Also: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or greater. 1-3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and building systems Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and safety instructions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, climbing, bending, stooping) Highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask. Experience working in residential housing, shelters, nonprofit facilities, or multi-site properties Experience responding to emergency maintenance requests Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations Basic computer skills (email, maintenance tracking systems, mobile work orders) In possession of a valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and be approved by Restorative Pathways insurance as a driver in order to drive agency vehicles. If a staff member cannot be approved by Restorative Pathways insurance as a driver, employment might not be able to continue. Instances where staff cannot be approved to drive will be reviewed on a case by case basis to determine if employment can continue in their role without driving agency vehicles. Items considered include but are not limited to: the shift the staff member holds and the frequency/necessity of driving during that shift, the amount of time before the staff member may be approved to drive by the insurance carrier, the availability of other staff on site to drive agency vehicles as program needs require, etc. Able to complete a background check, fingerprinting (Live Scan), and completion of all Community Care Licensing requirement documents. Able to meet all licensing requirements of Community Care Licensing. What You Will Do This position is a hands-on position overseeing the maintenance aspects of Restorative Pathways. In this role, you will assist the Senior Director of Operations and other Maintenance staff in the successful growth and sustainability of the agency by providing preventative maintenance, oversee maintenance projects throughout all of our facilities, and carry out maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. This position will primarily complete work within our City of Tracy site with some travel to Oakland, CA, as needed. Applying The pay scale for this role is $26 per hour (non-exempt). Responsibilities

  • Maintain and log Preventative Maintenance Schedule and weekly inspection schedule of all RP’s facilities.
  • Repair and maintain heating, plumbing, and electrical systems in all facilities. (within limitations/experience/expertise)
  • Repair and maintain all appliances in all facilities (within limitations/experience/expertise)
  • Oversee any outside vendors or contractors who are on site.
  • Maintain grounds of each facility including weed trimming, lawn mowing, brush removal, tree trimming, etc.
  • Assist with cleaning and moving projects
  • Complete emergency repairs and work orders as they arise within the specified timeframe
  • Assemble furniture or other structures as needed
  • Assist with maintaining the video surveillance system, waste management, and other services by contacting companies in person and by phone.
  • Small painting projects of an office or room, repair and patch of drywall
  • Purchasing maintenance and cleaning supplies when needed
  • Maintain fire extinguishers and functionality by monthly inspection. (schedule Exxell Fire)
  • Cleaning air ducts and ensuring systems are functional.
  • Maintaining safety standards of chemical uses in the property and have knowledge of proper procedures.
