About The Position

U-Haul’s Building Management is currently seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to join our team in Midtown Phoenix. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The goal is to maintain the building & common areas to the best possible condition. This position will include leading plumbing maintenance at U-Haul’s corporate headquarters, with minimal travel. Travel to another location is a rare occurrence. To meet the duties of this occupation, the Maintenance Technician must complete various tasks, such as:

Requirements

5+ years in carpentry is a must
Strong project management and communication skills
Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
Ability to search and order parts needed
Ability to work well within a team and alone
Ability to coordinate and be hands on with various property care and maintenance tasks
Willing to learn new skills
Must be flexible to multi-task
Must have a valid AZ driver’s license
Able to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in carpentry work
Helping in all maintenance areas
Ensuring tools and equipment are in working order and keeping maintenance room in safe & clean conditions
Hanging drywall, patching, repairs
Painting
Ceiling tile replacements
Simple carpentry tasks
Hanging of a variety of items such as TV mounts, pictures, etc.
