About The Position

1.1 The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of facilities and grounds. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and operational environment through routine maintenance tasks, timely completion of work orders, and seasonal grounds care. 2.0 BASIC FUNCTION 2.1 The Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair duties for buildings and grounds. This includes preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and seasonal tasks such as mowing. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance needs while ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
A minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of building maintenance systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC - preferred by not required).
Ability to operate lawn care equipment and basic maintenance tools.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Should have basic reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
Should have the ability to effectively listen and communicate with supervisors, participants, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

Maintain buildings and grounds in a safe, clean, and functional condition
Complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
Assist with general maintenance projects as directed
Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely
Follow all organizational safety policies and procedures
Communicate maintenance needs, concerns, or issues to the Maintenance Manager
Support team members and collaborate effectively to complete tasks
Perform minor repairs to facilities, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
Complete work orders with accuracy and attention to detail
Conduct seasonal mowing and grounds maintenance, including trimming and general upkeep
Ensure work areas are clean and organized after completing tasks
Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or facility issues
Assist with setup and breakdown for facility-related needs as required
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
