The Role The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring residents experience a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming community. From preventative maintenance to troubleshooting mechanical issues, you will approach challenges head-on while delivering high-quality service and professionalism. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining community standards in both occupied and vacant apartment homes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, or related trades
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
  • Task-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting recurring deadlines
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification or EPA certification preferred (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC repairs, plumbing, electrical installations, and general maintenance throughout the community
  • Complete service requests promptly and professionally to ensure resident satisfaction
  • Conduct routine unit inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents according to established quality standards
  • Maintain overall community appearance, including common areas and exterior spaces
  • Serve in an on-call rotation schedule (any 7 days of the week throughout the year as assigned)
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and maintenance logs
