Maintenance Mechanic – JLL What this job involves: As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL in Woodland, CA, you will play a critical role in supporting operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities, including specialized equipment in Greenhouses. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, HVAC systems, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to read and understand a one line/ladder diagram
  • Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., climb a 30-foot ladder, and perform frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead
  • Strong customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and write reports clearly and thoroughly and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Green House maintenance experience
  • EPA Universal certification
  • Experience working on roofs of buildings and performing overhead work safely while standing on a ladder
  • Ability to work well in a team or independently
  • Ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and/or visual)
  • Team player with reliable work ethic and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace
  • Safety-minded approach to all tasks

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and components
  • Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations
  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, replace lighting and ballasts, and clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts
  • Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary and comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas while recognizing danger and safety hazards
  • Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws, and complete all required safety trainings as scheduled
  • Update work order status in real time using our CMMS system and escalate problems or issues to customers and managers in a timely manner
  • Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and attend work and safety meetings as required
