Employee Recognition & Rewards : A culture that celebrates and rewards your hard work and dedication How you will make a difference (job overview): The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks to assist the Environmental Services Supervisor in maintaining the facility's physical plant, equipment and grounds. Performs preventive maintenance and emergency repair to facility buildings, equipment, grounds and vehicles, including utilities plumbing, masonry, carpentry, electric, refrigeration and heating and air conditioning. Receives deliveries and delivers materials and supplies to appropriate departments. Performs miscellaneous sanitation duties such as sweeping and cleaning the surrounding sidewalks and garage area and emptying and cleaning trash containers. Manually lifts and moves furniture and equipment. Available for on-call emergency repair situations. Maintains various department logs in writing. Division/Program Overview: A comprehensive mental health in patient residential facility for adolescents Serving up to 60 adolescents (ranging from ages 12-17) statewide Intensive residential services dedicated to serving clients with serious mental health problems with the highest dignity and quality of services since 1988 Programs: Psychiatric Health Facility, Community Treatment Facility and Non-Public High School – 24/7 locked facility Multidisciplinary Mental Health Services, Therapeutic Behavioral Health Services, and Intensive Day Treatment Program Learn more about SBHG at : https://www.starsinc.com/stars-inc/ For Additional Information: [email protected] In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 21.43 - 32.14. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year building maintenance experience required.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification courses or equivalent in vocational training or apprenticeship in construction/maintenance trade(s) preferred.
  • Valid California Class “B” Driver’s License, preferred

Responsibilities
